Kupas Matan B’seser of Kiryat Sefer is a registered non-profit organization founded on 11 Adar Beis, 5775 (March 13, 1995) in Modi’in Illit.  The Kupah initially launched its operations in Kiryat Sefer, yet as the city grew over the years to encompass additional neighborhoods, Matan B’seser likewise expanded the scope of its activities to include the newly-built areas of Neot Hapisgah, Green Park, and Heftizbah.

Modi’in Illit boasts one of the highest birth rates in Israel, and its population includes a considerable percentage of large families.  Many residents live far below the poverty line, and many families are truly impoverished with parents unable to provide for the basic needs of their children. At the outset, Kupas Matan B’seser established its flagship objective that “No child should remain hungry,” and since then, has worked tirelessly to ensure that this goal is met.

The directors and gabba’im of Kupas Matan B’seser work virtually around the clock to accommodate the needs of the disadvantaged communities that it serves.  Heartrending appeals for financial assistance flood the Kupah offices on a daily basis, and as the city grows, the need escalates accordingly. Children who are hungry. Parents who are fatally ill.  Children with severe physical or mental handicaps.  These are just superficial glimpses into the numerous petitions that reach the desk of Kupas Matan B’seser in Kiryat Sefer, a peek into the lives, challenges and hardships of hundreds of destitute families living in Modi’in Illit who entreat you for help!
